| Do we have the place for you to be!! Join us at the park in Corinne, UT, June 27th & 28th, 2008. This will be a weekend you won’t forget. We have cowboys, gunslingers, a rough & tough Marshall, dancing girls, and uppity opera ladies. First, you’ll enjoy activities and concessions in the park Friday the 27th from 4pm till the show begins at dusk. Saturday, the 28th, activities will begin at 10am and last all day until the show begins again at dusk that evening. Enjoy concessions and displays later in the day. On Saturday, be a kid again and join in the kickball tournament (for all ages), stick pulls, sack races, and other games. (To sign up for the tournament, or get more info on the games, visit the web address listed below.) Lay a blanket down, set up chairs, just visit and watch the clouds go by. Ride a train for .25 cents on a tour of historic Corinne. See the oldest existing Methodist Church building in Utah, Historic Montana Street, and stop at the Masonic Lodge (one of Corinne’s historic buildings) where we are holding the first Golden Spike Art Show and Sale. Even the artwork will have an historical theme: “Northern Utah 1825-1925”. (For more information on the art show, visit the web address listed below.) Enjoy historic displays at the park such as Native Americans, Mountain Men, Corinne Historical Society, and more. There will be live music Friday evening and throughout the day Saturday, including a much anticipated performance by “Sassafras” at 8pm Saturday. With the sun slowly setting, the stars will come out and so will the fun characters for the comedic historical pageant “CORINNE, THE GENTILE CITY”. If you’ve seen our show before, be forewarned that there are new twists and turns to this year’s pageant. We like to keep it fresh and exciting! Admission is free, but we are collecting non-perishable food items—1 per person, or 25—you decide! We’d love to fill our wagons for the Brigham City Food Pantry. Sit back, relax, and get ready to laugh. For a great end to a wonderful day, try our hot peach cobbler with a scoop of ice cream. Folks, it doesn’t get any better than this (till next year!). Remember to bring your blankets and lawn chairs. Come be a part of Utah’s history! For more information, please visit www.historiccorinne.com. | |
